Let’s tag! In the weeks leading up to the Duck derby, volunteers place numbers on the bottom of every duck.
Numbers are automatically and randomly assigned "The Pond" system. Rest assured, all the ducks you have adopted will be in the water on race day. Be sure to hold on to the "adoption papers" (thank you email) you receive in case your duck(s) take the win on race day!

The best way to care for your newly adopted duck(s) is to cheer them on in person! Ducks race best when they know their adoptive family is in their corner. Join us Sunday, June 14 at Noon in Lampe Park and give your duck(s) the home field advantage they deserve!
If all our ducks have not been adopted by event day, lucky adopters can still adopt ducks up until one hour prior to the race. These names will be randomly assigned to the remaining available ducks. Anyone can adopt until one hour before the race begins, provided the race is not sold out.
A Member of Active 20-30 Club of Carson City will contact you using the information provided during adoption. Winners will also be listed on this website and our social media. Hold on to the "adoption papers" (thank you email) you receive in case your duck(s) take the win on race day!

No, you do not need to be present to win, but why miss out on the fun?! You most likely will witness at least one of our Members float like a duck down the creek by accident.
If we have not reached our duck limit adoption by race day, the remaining ducks will be available for adoption on race day until 1 hour prior to the race.
