Join us at Lampe Park for the Annual Duck Derby! Adopt ducks from the Pond Party heat and Duck, Duck, BOOM! heat to test your luck! Watch as rubber ducks race down the creek.
There must be something special about the yellow rubber duck. People go quackers for them!
If you've never seen a duck derby, the excitement centers around the race, or the win. People adopt a rubber duck (or many) to help raise money for underserved children in the Carson area.
Everyone who adopts a duck is entered into "The Pond", a database that stores all adoption information. Next to your name in The Pond is the number of ducks you have adopted by heat. The tag range is entered into The Pond, and all numbers are shuffled. The Pond then automatically assigns your numbers. For example, if you adopt a "Quack Pack" of 13 ducks from the Duck, Duck, BOOM! heat, your name will be placed next to 13 different numbers from that heat.
